I consider myself to be a fairly hardcore Korean car enthusiast but I’m having trouble seeing how the Santa Cruz and Telluride are supposedly confirmed for production and simply awaiting official announcements. I like the concepts but I’m also not quite seeing the big picture.
Basically you have a Volkswagen Atlas and a Honda Ridgeline. I can’t imagine either selling more than 60,000 global units out the gate. But we are supposed to be getting a ton of all new product production and announcements constantly through 2017. Very opposite of FCA...

That Kia looks like a mini-Yukon from that angle. If 4wd and decent power would DD.

Yeah, it makes me think of the Infiniti QX80 but with styling more in my taste.

The fact that the Ridgeline exists and sells is enough reason for the truck....thingy.
As for the SUV, it’s an SUV. I like it, though, it’s cool looking. Needs an N performance spec, though. With a V8.

Hyundai needs to shrink that Santa Cruz some more. Put it on reasonable sized wheels (like 16") and they can lower the price too. No need for huge wheels on this thing.
But, beggars can’t be choosers. Hyundai’s doing much more than anyone else is doing for the small(ish) truck market.

The concept for a Hyundai Tucson-based truck. It’s being called the Santa Crux and should have a production version debuting fairly soon. They said it’s happening and are just waiting on official word/presentations.

I probably won’t buy one (at least anytime soon), but I dig the look. If it looks like this in RL, at least it’ll be eye candy.
Needs to be able to go off road, be small, and have some practical applications beyond that for it to have a good case for me.
